First 24 hours:

Keep your tattoo wrapped for 2-6 hours.
Take off cling wrap.
Wash thoroughly in the shower using warm soapy water with your hands. Don’t use a flannel or cloth.
Pat dry with paper towel. No fabric towel.
Apply a thin layer of aftercare cream to your tattoo and wear loose, clean clothing.

For the next two weeks:

Wash tattoo once a day.
Lightly moisturise with aftercare cream 2-3 times a day with clean hands until no longer dry or flaky.
Wash everyday with hot soapy water until no longer dry or flaky.

Important:

Make sure to really only use a thin layer of aftercare cream. Tattoos need to be able to breathe and too much cream can cause irritation. Use aftercare cream specifically made for tattoos. Do not use Bepanthen/ Pawpaw/ Vaseline/ Coconut Oil.

General healing tips:

Do:

Wear sunscreen on your tattoos once fully healed.
Keep your tattoos moisturised.

Contact me whenever you have a question regarding your tattoo.

Don’t:

Pick or scratch tattoo.
Soak in water for 2 weeks (no swimming, baths, sauna, steam room).
Use tanning creams for 2 weeks.
Let pets touch your fresh tattoo.
Excessive exercise on tattooed area for 2 weeks.
Put your tattoo in direct sunlight.
